Doodling Instructions are Here!!!

I have completed my doodling instructions with photos for easy learning. I think I put all the instructions in as clearly as possible but if you feel that there is something that I missed please do let me know and I will add it in. I want to be able to help. I've finally set up a technique page YAY!!

I may not have the most unique and fascinating techniques but I do have a lot of original work and I do get that famous question "How do I do that" or "teach me too" and I am MORE THAN HAPPY to share my techniques with my friends and out reach and make new friends too.

Congratulations to Our Graduate

This is a page to Nicole's Graduation Album. I used Basic Grey's Two Scoop Paper Pack for my base paper and my border. The Base is "Blueberry Custard", the border sheet is "Spumoni" and the green used for the double matte is "Mint Chocolate Chip" (which by the way is my favorite ice cream...LOL) The stamps are also Basic Grey Two Scoops/Swirlie. I inked the edges of the page using Staz On Jet black ink and a make-up sponge wedge (idea given to me by Scrapperlicious) The green flower is Petaloo and the two pink flowers are The Paper Studio. The large gem in the middle is actually from a pack I picked up at Big Lots for decorating cellular phones...LMAO! Thanks for looking. I love sharing my creations with the rest of the scrapbooking world out there.

Prom Pages Completed

Below are the four pages for my cousin's graduation album finally completed in total there was about 12 hours of doodling between the four pages along with an additional 4 hours to complete the rest of the pages. The base of each LO is black cardstock, the borders or overlay paper is DCWV Luxury stack, I used a couple Gelly Roll White gel pens medium point on the doodling, the gems throughout the page are Darice, on Page 1 & 2 I used a black The Paper Studio Flower, Daisy D's teal flower, the iridescent flowers were from a flower bouquet bought from a craft store and plucked off their stems, the typewriter black & silver letters are Stampendous, the PROM NIGHT sign is By Jolee and the transparency is Graphix printable transparencies that I inked with black Staz On ink. Pages 3 & 4 the script letters are Bellisimo Personalized Monograms, the mini books are from a kit by Miss Elizabeth, the photo corners are white Scrapbook Adhesives Corners By 3L, that I inked with silver Colorbox Cats Eye Ink and on 8 of the 16 I added Joann's Glitter Glue, the gems are by Darice and the ribbon is craft ribbon bought from the local craft store. The chipboard by Kurio (a subsidiary of K&Company).

How to begin

There are no right or wrong ways to doodle but there are some important things to do while doodling. (that I've learned through out my pages). 1. always start at the top of the doodle and work it to your ending point. So i.e. start at the loop and work it to the end. You can make it as extravagant or simple as possible that's all up to you. If your doodle isn't perfect IT'S NOT A MISTAKE it can be fixed so don't get frustrated. If you're looking for a perfect curl and it doesn't come out that way don't fret just shadow the area of the curl that doesn't look right until it's perfect to you.

Don't Be Afraid

Don't be afraid to overlap your your flourishes and arches it gives them depth. But as a suggestion as you will see back in step one do the arches first this way you'll know best where your flourishes will go. In addition something that I do is go back with either a black sharpie, or zig pen and where the contents cross I add a little detail to show the separation. So i.e. if there are two arches crossing over each other then border the top arch on the sides only with black. If it is a flourish stem line going through an arch then the portion of the stem in the arch I will make black just to give it the extra detail so it has some addition depth.
